Jason Statham’s MUTINY (2026) – First Look!

Mutiny is an upcoming action thriller film directed by Jean-François Richet (Plane) and written by Lindsay Michel and J. P. Davis (The Beekeeper and The Contractor). It stars Jason Statham, Annabelle Wallis, Jason Wong and Roland Møller (Atomic Blonde). Produced by Jason’s Punch Palace Productions and MadRiver Pictures, the film is set to be released by Lionsgate Films in the United States on August 21, 2026.

Jason Statham stars as Cole Reed, an ex Special Forces operative and former NYPD Officer. While working private security for a Thai shipping tycoon named Tibu (Ramon Tikaram), Reed witnesses Tibu’s murder by corrupt police. Framed for the crime, Reed escapes onto one of Tibu’s massive cargo ships. There, he must fight his way through a human trafficking operation led by Turek (Roland Møller), and unmask an international conspiracy to clear his name.

Jason founded Punch Palace Productions in 2022 to produce his own action-thriller movies, allowing him to maintain greater control over his signature brand of practical, gritty action films focusing on real action and less CGI. Since it’s inception Punch Palace productions has produced:

• The Beekeeper (2024): The studio’s first major release, which became a breakout hit. Statham famously trained with real bees for the role.
• A Working Man (2025): A revenge thriller directed by David Ayer, where Statham plays a military veteran turned construction worker.
• Shelter (2026): Released in January 2026, featuring Statham as a former assassin living on a remote Scottish island.

And is currently producing:

• Mutiny (August 21, 2026): The upcoming cargo ship thriller currently in post-production.
• Viva La Madness (2026/2027): A long-awaited collaboration with Guy Ritchie, serving as a standalone project based on the Layer Cake sequel novel.
• The Beekeeper 2 (January 2027): A direct sequel to the 2024 hit, which is presently filming.
• Jason Statham Stole My Bike (TBA): A meta action-comedy where Statham plays a fictionalized version of himself.
