SISU II: ROAD TO REVENGE Movie Trailer and Poster Released!

Sony Pictures just released the trailer for the sequel to SISU, SISU: ROAD TO REVENGE as well as the movie poster. Official release date is November 21, 2025. Personally I can’t wait, the trailer looks just as good as the first one and I really loved the first one.

Synopsis:

SISU: ROAD TO REVENGE is a wall-to-wall cinematic action event, a sequel to the original sleeper hit SISU. Returning to the house where his family was brutally murdered during the war, “the man who refuses to die” (Jorma Tommila) dismantles it, loads it on a truck, and is determined to rebuild it somewhere safe in their honor. When the Red Army commander who killed his family (Stephen Lang from DON’T BREATHE) comes back hellbent on finishing the job, a relentless, eye-popping cross-country chase ensues – a fight to the death, full of clever, unbelievable action set pieces. SISU: ROAD TO REVENGE ~ First Look!

In doing research for my review of the movie SISU, I discovered that there is talk of a SISU 2. I was excited to see that because I love this movie and the thought of it being a franchise is very exciting to me. Jorma Tommila as Aatami Korpa, the Finnish Commando turned legend, reminds me of Jason Statham or Denzel Washington in The Equalizer Movies only in a Finnish WWII setting. SISU was filmed in Northern Lapland, Finland in the town of Nuorgam which is at the very top of Finland. In the movie Aatami Korpa makes his way to Helsinki to trade in his Gold. Helsinki is Finland’s southern Capitol and sits on the Gulf of Finland.

At the very end of SISU Aatami makes his way into a Bank in Helsinki and trades in his gold for cash. SISU 2 has reportedly wrapped up filming in Estonia, which is across the Gulf of Finland directly south of Helsinki. It makes you wonder about the plotline and which direction the story of SISU 2 will go. Did Aatami trade in his gold for cash and then decide to head south across the Gulf to Estonia to start a new life? Maybe he does exactly that and the comrades of the German Nazis he killed come to Estonia seeking revenge.

The quiet mild-mannered old man living quietly in Estonia, tending to his garden when……they find him and then all hell breaks loose. Just like in the first SISU only this time instead of a pick-axe he used to dig up the gold, he defends himself with a garden shovel, hoe or rake. The legend of Aatami Korpa was based on the true story of a Finnish sniper who killed over 500 Russian soldiers. Maybe where Aatami is in Estonia, he is tracked down by old Russian comrades of people he killed before the Germans. Estonia used to be part of Russia so there could be a tie there.

Anyway that is all speculation on my part. What I do know is , according to Finnish media, the film SISU 2 has wrapped filming as of the end 2024. There is an expected Film release sometime later this year, 2025. Reportedly the budget for the sequel is more than two times the budget of the original, so it should be even more grandiose in it’s action and bloodshed. Jorma Tommilla returns as Aatami Korpa and Jalmari Helander is back directing. As far as the rest of the cast or storyline that is all we know, they reportedly kept a very tight lid on it to keep expectations high.

My expectations are very high…. I loved the first movie and Jorma Tommila and can’t wait for the Sequel. Bring it on Old Man!

SISU 2 Filming Wrapped!

Jurassic World Rebirth

COMING THIS SUMMER FROM UNIVERSAL PICTURES:

Release Date July 2, 2025

A new era is born. This summer, three years after the Jurassic World trilogy concluded with each film surpassing $1 billion at the global box office, the enduring Jurassic series evolves in an ingenious new direction with Jurassic World Rebirth.

Anchored by iconic action superstar Scarlett Johansson, Emmy and SAG nominee Jonathan Bailey and two-time Oscar® winner Mahershala Ali, this action-packed new chapter sees an extraction team race to the most dangerous place on Earth, an island research facility for the original Jurassic Park, inhabited by the worst of the worst that were left behind.

Also starring acclaimed international stars Rupert Friend and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, the film is directed by dynamic visualist Gareth Edwards (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) from a script by original Jurassic Park screenwriter David Koepp.

Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived. The three most colossal creatures across land, sea and air within that tropical biosphere hold, in their DNA, the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind.

Academy Award® nominee Johansson plays skilled covert operations expert Zora Bennett, contracted to lead a skilled team on a top-secret mission to secure the genetic material. When Zora’s operation intersects with a civilian family whose boating expedition was capsized by marauding aquatic dinos, they all find themselves stranded on a forbidden island that had once housed an undisclosed research facility for Jurassic Park. There, in a terrain populated by dinosaurs of vastly different species, they come face-to-face with a sinister, shocking discovery that has been hidden from the world for decades.

Ali is Duncan Kincaid, Zora’s most trusted team member; Critics Choice and Olivier Award winner Jonathan Bailey (Wicked, Bridgerton) plays paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis; Emmy nominee Rupert Friend (Homeland, Obi-Wan Kenobi) appears as Big Pharma representative Martin Krebs and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (The Lincoln Lawyer, Murder on the Orient Express) plays Reuben Delgado, the father of the shipwrecked civilian family.

The cast includes Luna Blaise (Manifest), David Iacono (The Summer I Turned Pretty) and Audrina Miranda (Lopez vs. Lopez) as Reuben’s family. The film also features, as members of Zora and Krebs’ crews, Philippine Velge (Station Eleven), Bechir Sylvain (BMF) and Ed Skrein (Deadpool).

Jurassic World Rebirth is directed by BAFTA winner Edwards from a script by Koepp (War of the Worlds), based on characters created by Michael Crichton. The film is produced by Oscar® nominee Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley, both longtime Jurassic franchise producers and of last summer’s blockbuster, Twisters. The film is executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Denis L. Stewart and Jim Spencer.
