Everglades Experiential Press Day Footage with Jessica Rothe, Kiana Madeira and Director Mike P. Nelson!

Lionsgate released footage and stills from their “Beware Bouina” x Swamp Tour Experience at Coopertown The Original Airboat Tour of Everglades National Park on September 01, 2026 in Miami, Florida, swapping out standard press rooms for a high-energy celebrity swamp campaign.

The upcoming survival thriller tracks a medical team fighting to endure an ancient, shape-shifting serpent deep inside the Amazon. To fuel early ticketing traffic, the studio sent stars Kiana Madeira, Jessica Rothe, and Logan Marshall-Green to Miami’s historic Coopertown Airboat Tours—capturing the trio out on the water discussing the practical effects work, real-world creature mythologies, and physical demands that went into crafting this autumn’s major creature feature.

Unlike Hollywood’s fictionalized creature creations, Boiúna is pulled straight out of authentic Brazilian and Amazonian folklore. In traditional South American myth, the Boiúna (frequently referred to as the Cobra Grande or “Big Snake”) is a massive, ancient serpent that rules over the region’s vast waterways. “Mother of the Waters, in balance she rests. Imbalance, she defends.”

In folklore, the creature is not just a standard animal; she is a powerful, protective force of nature. The myth claims that the Boiúna possesses terrifying supernatural traits, including the ability to shape-shift, mimic boats to lure travelers, and emit a suffocating stench that causes severe dizziness and vivid hallucinations in her prey.

Beware Boiúna stars Kiana Madeira (Fear Street), Jessica Rothe (Happy Death Day), and Logan Marshall-Green (Upgrade), and slithers into theaters October 2, 2026.
