Acclaimed director Adam Carter Rehmeier’s romantic crime thriller stars Samara Weaving (Ready Or Not, Borderline) as Caroline Daniels, a young woman trapped in a mundane life working at a small-town West Texas gas station. Her world shifts radically when she crosses paths with Oliver (Kyle Gallner), a charismatic, drifting con man.
Desperate to escape her life and locate her estranged mother, Caroline runs away with Oliver. As they journey across the American Southeast, Oliver teaches Caroline his schemes. Caroline quickly evolves from a passive observer into a highly capable partner-in-crime, steering their petty confidence games into high-stakes, dangerous bank robberies.
Also starring Kyra Sedgwick, the film features a wide-ranging country music soundtrack, with tracks from artists such as Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton, Loretta Lynn, and over a dozen others.
Filmed entirely in Kentucky, the cinematography by Jean-Philippe Bernier is highly celebrated for turning southern country roads into vivid, beautiful “Americana gold”.
