Today, a spectacular new trailer for Coyote vs. Acme dropped, signaling a massive creative victory for Hollywood creatives and Looney Tunes fans everywhere ahead of its scheduled theatrical release on August 28, 2026.
Once locked away tightly in a corporate vault for a tax write-off, the live-action/2D-animation hybrid has been completely revitalized under its new distributor, Ketchup Entertainment.
Wile E. Finally Sues: The Plot and The Trailer Breakdown
For decades, we have watched Wile E. Coyote suffer unimaginable bodily harm due to malfunctioning anvils, faulty TNT, and defective rocket skates. In Coyote vs. Acme, he has officially had enough.
The brand-new trailer showcases Wile E. taking the ultimate leap of faith by hiring Kevin Avery (Will Forte), a down-on-his-luck billboard lawyer who is completely out of his depth. Together, they decide to sue the Acme Corporation for their dangerously defective products.
However, Acme isn’t going down without an explosive legal fight. The corporate giant enlists the help of their slick, high-powered lead counsel, Buddy Crane (John Cena), who also happens to be Kevin’s former boss and lifelong bully. The trailer promises a beautiful mix of classic, high-octane Looney Tunes slapstick comedy balanced with a sharp, Who Framed Roger Rabbit-style legal satire.
