Brad Pitt & Director David Ayer Reunite for Intense Wilderness Survival Thriller.
Brad Pitt stars as James Belmont, a retired Army Special Forces officer who is struggling to adjust back to civilian life while haunted by severe PTSD from his time at war. His only anchor is Odin, his retired combat scouting dog who still carries the physical scars of battle (including silver in his teeth from a concrete brick attack).
When their small aircraft violently crashes deep inside the unforgiving Alaskan wilderness, the duo is left stranded with no way to call for help. To survive the freezing elements and predators, man and dog must fully rely on their elite military training and unbreakable bond.
Heart Of The Beast marks the massive, first-time creative reunion between Brad Pitt and director David Ayer since their widely acclaimed 2014 World War II tank drama Fury.
Alongside Pitt, the film features Oscar-winner J.K. Simmons as a rugged local who warns that the harsh territory is known as “the heart of the beast,” and Anna Lambe. The screenplay was penned by Cameron Alexander. The film boasts a heavy-hitting production team including Damien Chazelle, Marty Bowen, and David Ayer himself.
