Robert Pattinson channels Chris Hansen in new pics!
A24 released new stills from their upcoming crime thriller Primetime directed by Lance Oppenheim. Based on true events, the dark psychological thriller follows Hansen in 2006 as he orchestrates high-stakes, confrontational sting operations to catch online predators for Dateline NBC.
The show was abruptly canceled in 2007 after an intense Texas sting operation ended in the tragic suicide of an Assistant District Attorney as police and TV cameras swarmed his house. NBC faced major lawsuits, massive advertiser backlash, and serious questions about whether “vigilante reality TV” had gone way too far.
Robert Pattinson stars as Chris Hansen along with Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, Phoebe Bridgers (her official film acting debut), Bokeem Woodbine and Matthew Maher.
