A24 Unleashes Haunted House Carnage in Teaser Trailer for Thriller ‘Slayground’

A24 has released a terrifying, unannounced first teaser trailer for Slayground. Directed by acclaimed action-thriller mastermind Jeremy Saulnier (Green Room, Rebel Ridge), this relentless, blood-soaked mystery nightmare is coming to theaters everywhere early next year on Friday, January 29, 2027.

Slayground follows “Metal Mike” Graves (Cory Michael Smith), an eccentric local scare-actor who works at a massive, commercial haunted house attraction.

The nightmare begins on the morning of October 24th, when Mike abruptly wakes up inside the twisted, maze-like attraction. He is completely drenched in blood and surrounded by the dead bodies of all his coworkers—but due to sudden amnesia, he has absolutely zero memory of what happened the night before.

After being arrested, Mike executes a desperate escape from police custody and goes on a high-stakes run across the state to piece his memory back together and clear his name, all while a massive police manhunt closes in on him.

Fans of director Jeremy Saulnier know exactly what to expect: brutal, bone-crunching, practical filmmaking. Saulnier is bypassing heavy computer graphics to build a real, deeply unsettling haunted house environment, turning the film into an intense hybrid of The Fugitive and Green Room.

Slayground stars Cory Michael Smith, Chase Sui Wonders, Sophie Wilde, Young Mazino, Imogen Poots, Matty Matheson, James Badge Dale and Stephen Root.

Slayground comes to theaters January 29, 2027.
