Disney+ Sets Arrival for ‘Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu’ After $345M Summer Run.
The wait is officially over for Star Wars fans wanting to experience the franchise’s latest cinematic entry from the comfort of their couches. Wednesday September 2, 2026, Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu officially makes its streaming debut exclusively on Disney+.
The highly anticipated streaming release comes exactly 103 days after the film first debuted in theaters over the Memorial Day weekend on May 22, 2026. For audiences who missed its theatrical run, or for die-hard fans ready for a rewatch, tomorrow’s digital launch offers the perfect opportunity to experience Din Djarin and Grogu’s big-screen jump.
The 2-hour and 12-minute sci-fi adventure follows Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his adopted apprentice, Grogu, as they are recruited by New Republic Colonel Ward (Sigourney Weaver). In exchange for critical Imperial intelligence, the duo sets off across the outer reaches to rescue Rotta the Hutt, the heir to Jabba the Hutt’s criminal empire. The film features an ensemble cast, including a voice appearance by Jeremy Allen White and a surprising cameo by legendary director Martin Scorsese as a character named Hugo.
To celebrate tomorrow’s streaming launch, Disney+ is also rolling out two companion pieces alongside the film: an all-new animated LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian special and the first episode of an official, behind-the-scenes podcast detailing the making of the movie.
Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu is rated PG-13, is 2 hr 12min long and begins streaming Wednesday September 2, on Disney+.
