Lionsgate releases New Featurette & Pics ahead of November 20 release date!
The Hunger Games universe is officially plunging back into the dark history of Panem. Lionsgate has released a New ‘Character Origins’ Featurette for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping (2026), as well as a gallery of eight brand-new promotional stills.
Based on the highly popular novel by Suzanne Collins, the prequel takes place 24 years before Katnisch Everdeen’s historic rebellion.
The story focuses entirely on a 16-year-old Haymitch Abernathy (played by Joseph Zada), the young man destined to survive the arena only to become District 12’s tragically broken, alcohol-dependent mentor.
