Liam Neeson Rules the Road in Old-School Action Thriller ‘The Mongoose’

Liam Neeson is back behind the wheel for another high-octane ride. Samuel Goldwyn Films is getting ready to unleash The Mongoose, a fast-paced, old-fashioned car chase thriller that is scheduled to race exclusively into theaters on Friday, October 30, 2026!

The movie is a special project behind the scenes. It marks the first time directing a full feature film for Mark Vanselow, who has been Liam Neeson’s personal, real-life stunt double and fight coordinator for almost 30 years! Because they are close friends, Neeson looks incredibly relaxed, loose, and looks like he’s having a blast on screen.

The movie follows Captain Ryan “Fang” Flanagan (Liam Neeson), a highly decorated Afghan war hero who suddenly finds his good name completely ruined.

Falsely accused and framed for a brutal murder involving his ex-wife’s abusive current partner, Fang realizes he has absolutely nothing left to lose and grabs a flashy, high-powered, red Mustang Shelby Super Snake GT350 muscle car and takes off at 130 mph.

What follows is a giant, televised, cross-country police pursuit. To stay a step ahead of a determined lead lawman (Michael Chiklis), Fang gets tactical help from his old Special Forces army buddies who track the chase from afar. As the chase goes viral on the news, the public starts to realize he was framed and begins openly rooting for him to escape!

The movie features a fantastic group of familiar faces alongside Neeson:

Marisa Tomei plays his ex-wife, Tara, who gets caught in the legal crossfire.
Ving Rhames plays “Tanker,” Fang’s loyal old special forces war buddy.
Michael Chiklis plays Pope, the intense law enforcement officer leading the pursuit.

The Mongoose races into theaters October 30, 2026!
