All 5 ‘Twilight Saga’ Movies Hit Netflix This Week
Get ready for your TV Screen to fill up with misty forests, baseball games set to alt-rock, and vampires that sparkle in the sunlight. Starting October 1st, 2026 Netflix is officially dropping the complete five-film Twilight Saga franchise into its streaming catalog.
When author Stephenie Meyer’s young adult book series transitioned to the silver screen in 2008, it triggered a global cultural phenomenon. The five-film saga went on to gross a staggering $3.36 billion worldwide, smashing domestic box office records and transforming its young cast—Kristen Stewart (Bella), Robert Pattinson (Edward), and Taylor Lautner (Jacob)—into instant A-list mega-celebrities.
The premise is straightforward: an ordinary teenage girl moves to the rainy town of Forks, Washington, and finds herself caught in an intense, supernatural love triangle between a 104-year-old vampire and a shapeshifting werewolf.
The series famously split the entire internet into two deeply passionate war camps that people still reference today:
- Team Edward: Supporting the brooding, protective vampire.
- Team Jacob: Supporting the warm-hearted, protective childhood friend/werewolf
This isn’t just a random licensing grab. Netflix has a massive stake in the vampire universe right now: the streaming giant is currently in active development on an official Twilight animated TV series titled Midnight Sun.
The upcoming series will retell the events of the first story entirely from Edward Cullen’s perspective. Bringing the original live-action blockbusters to the platform is the perfect strategy to prime the audience for the reboot.
