Amazon MGM Studios Debuts Two Chilling, Tense Film Clips for Colleen Hoover’s ‘Verity’

The immense psychological mystery surrounding the Crawford household is beginning to bleed into daylight. To celebrate its upcoming release next month, Amazon MGM Studios has released two film clips for Verity (2026), “Meeting Verity“ and “Say Something“.

Directed by hitmaker Michael Showalter (The Idea of You) and adapted from the smash-hit 2018 thriller novel by Collen Hoover, the film traces a dark, ethically compromised web of romance, trauma, and hidden manuscripts.

Meeting Verity

The first clip, “Meeting Verity,” highlights the incredible, wordless physical performance Hathaway brings to the character. The sequence follows Lowen Ashleigh (Dakota Johnson) as she is guided into the grand, dimly lit estate, catching her first glimpses of the silent, unblinking author—instantly building a suffocating sense of dread.

Say Something

As ghostwriter Lowen Ashleigh (Dakota Johnson) uncovers the horrifying confessions hidden within the estate, she begins to suspect that comatose author Verity Crawford (Anne Hathaway) might be hiding an unblinking truth. In this gripping “Say Something” sequence, watch Lowen boldly confront a silent Verity—vowing to steal her life, her career, and her husband Jeremy (Josh Hartnett) in a desperate, high-stakes bid to force her to drop the act and speak!

Verity opens in theaters nationwide on October 2, 2026!
