Scott Eastwood and Rod Lurie‘s Intense WWII Survival Thriller now on Hulu
Six years after delivering the critically acclaimed combat drama The Outpost, actor Scott Eastwood and director Rod Lurie are marching back to the front lines on Hulu starting today October 26, 2026.
Set during the freezing, brutal landscape of the Battle of the Bulge, Lucky Strike is inspired by true events and developed from personal interviews conducted by screenwriter Marc Frydman with a real-world World War II veteran.
Scott Eastwood stars as John Castle, a wounded American soldier cut off from his unit and trapped deep inside enemy territory in Belgium. With an advancing Nazi Panzer army closing in and ruthless SS squads scouring the snowy terrain, Castle has no backup.
His only lifeline to the outside world is a Motorola SCR-300—a heavy, backpack-mounted military radio. Armed with nothing but his wits, spy craft, and a rapidly dying radio battery, Castle must outmaneuver the enemy to guide his way back home.
The film also stars Colin Hanks—no stranger to World War II dramas given his iconic turn in Band of Brothers, Oscar nominee Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor (King Richard), Taylor John Smith (Where the Crawdads Sing), and Lorne MacFadyen (Vigil).
Lucky Strike is rated R, 1 hr 44min long and is now streaming on Hulu!
