Robert Pattinson Transforms into Chris Hansen in A24’s ‘Primetime’ This Friday!
Get ready for a brilliant, deeply uncomfortable descent into the sensationalist landscape of mid-2000s reality television. A24’s highly anticipated crime thriller Primetime (2026) is officially set to hit movie screens and premium large formats nationwide this Friday, September 25, 2026.
Marking the narrative feature film directorial debut of acclaimed documentary filmmaker Lance Oppenheim and written by Ajon Singh, the film has been generating intense discussion following its high-profile world premiere at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival.
Based on Luke Dittrich’s explosive 2007 Esquire investigative article “Tonight on Dateline This Man Will Die,” the film pulls back the curtain on the hyper-stylized, ethically blurred creation of the cultural juggernaut To Catch a Predator.
A completely unrecognizable, unblinking Robert Pattinson (The Batman) stars as ambitious network anchor Chris Hansen. Emmy winner Merritt Wever as a weary producer, Skyler Gisondo, Bokeem Woodbine, Anna Faris as Mary Joan Hansen, Tony Revolori, and a cameo track from indie-pop sensation Phoebe Bridgers.
