I Play Rocky (2026) New Featurette, Film Clips And Pics!

Go behind the scenes of a movie about the behind the scenes of a movie…

Amazon MGM Studios has released an inspiring look behind the scenes of the making of the movie about the greatest underdog story of all time in the new ‘First Look‘ Featurette.

They also released two new Film Clips and 3 fresh Movie Stills for I Play Rocky, the highly anticipated biographical drama tracing the legendary, real-life underdog story behind the making of Hollywood’s greatest sports movie.

Go behind the scenes of a cinematic miracle with this official “First Look” featurette for Amazon MGM Studios’ I Play Rocky. Hear from director Peter Farrelly, writer Peter Gamble, and star Anthony Ippolito as they discuss the immense responsibility of bringing Sylvester Stallone‘s legendary 1975 underdog gamble to life.

This exclusive featurette offers a look at the production design, casting choices, and the incredible effort to recreate the gritty, 1970s Philadelphia atmosphere that birthed an icon.

The new extended clip, titled ‘I Play Rocky‘, captures the high-stakes meeting where a young, broke, and unknown Sylvester Stallone (Anthony Ippolito) drops the ultimate condition on producers Irwin Winkler (Toby Kebbell) and Robert Chartoff (P.J. Byrne): “I wrote this for me. I play Rocky.”

In the ‘We Can’t Make A Deal With Sylvester Spillane’ featurette producers Irwin Winkler (Toby Kebbell) and Robert Chartoff (P.J. Byrne) present a young, unknown Sylvester Stallone‘s boxing script to the top studio brass, only to watch a massive corporate wall go up.

Studio executives want the screenplay, but they refuse to risk a million-dollar production on an unproven actor. This tense scene captures the exact moment the studio declares they cannot make a deal with Stallone—setting up one of the greatest gamble stories in cinema history.

I Play Rocky is now in theaters.
