Cosmic Anarchy Reigns in ‘Godzilla x Kong: Supernova’ Official Title Reveal
The MonsterVerse is officially breaking through the stratosphere. Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. have stepped out into the spotlight to drop the official title, stylized logo, and highly anticipated first plot details for the sixth film in the blockbuster franchise: Godzilla x Kong: Supernova.
Swapping the subterranean depths of Hollow Earth for an existential threat descending directly from the cosmos, the franchise’s newest chapter promises an unprecedented, universe-shaking scale.
Legendary’s newly revealed plot synopsis details an absolute worst-case scenario for humanity and the planet’s premier alphas:
“Godzilla and Kong face off against a cataclysmic, world-ending threat descending from the stars. This forces the surface world and Hollow Earth into an unprecedented alliance, introducing several new human characters who join the iconic Titans in a fight for survival.”
Stepping into the director’s chair is Australian filmmaker Grant Sputore (I Am Mother), working from a high-stakes script written by David Callaham (Shang-Chi) and Michael Lloyd Green.
To match the massive scope of the Titan conflict, Supernova is anchoring its surface-level storyline with an incredible ensemble cast. Dan Stevens returns to reprise his fan-favorite role as the eccentric Titan veterinarian Trapper Beasley from Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.
