Supergirl is officially flying onto HBO Max this Thursday!
DC Studios’ Supergirl is officially making its global streaming debut exclusively on HBO Max this Thursday, September 10. Directed by Craig Gillespie, the film gives viewers a fresh look at the DC Universe by following Superman’s famous cousin, Kara Zor-El, played by Milly Alcock. After its summer theatrical run, the sci-fi action movie is landing on home screens to give fans and families the perfect option for an upcoming weekend movie night.
The story takes a dark and gritty turn as a battle-worn Supergirl reluctantly teams up with a 13-year-old alien girl named Ruthye, played by Eve Ridley, on a massive journey across lawless planets. Together, along with Krypto the Superdog and the cynical bounty hunter Lobo, they embark on an intense mission of vengeance across space to track down a ruthless pirate.
An impressive ensemble cast brings this cosmic comic book adaptation to life. Alongside Alcock’s standout performance as Kara, the film features Matthias Schoenaerts as the cruel space pirate Krem of the Yellow Hills, the primary target of Kara and Ruthye’s wrath.
David Corenswet reprises his role as Superman, Jason Momoa plays the wild alien mercenary Lobo, as well as David Krumholtz and Emily Beecham as Kara’s parents. This star-studded lineup delivers plenty of power to make your next Streaming Movie Night a true blockbuster event.
