Verity Comes To Theaters Today!

Colleen Hoover’s Psychological Thriller ‘Verity’ Hits Theaters Today!

Get ready, book lovers and thriller fans! The highly anticipated film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s massive bestselling psychological thriller novel, Verity, officially hits theaters today, October 2, 2026.

Distributed by Amazon MGM Studios domestically and Sony Pictures Releasing internationally, this star-studded adaptation promises to bring all the twists, tension, and dark obsession of the book straight to the big screen.

Verity follows Lowen Ashleigh (played by Dakota Johnson), a struggling writer who catches a massive break when she is hired by Jeremy Crawford (Josh Hartnett). Her assignment? To complete the remaining books of a highly successful series penned by his injured and incapacitated wife, the famous author Verity Crawford (Anne Hathaway).

When Lowen moves into the family’s remote estate to sort through Verity’s notes, she uncovers a hidden, deeply disturbing autobiographical manuscript. The pages reveal terrifying secrets about the family’s past, and as Lowen reads on, she finds herself caught in a web of obsession, attraction, and blurring lines between fiction and a terrifying reality.
