Way Of The Warrior Kid (2026) – First Look!

Chris Pratt Brings Navy SEAL Discipline to Apple TV in Heartwarming ‘Way of the Warrior Kid’

Apple Original Films and Skydance Media have released the inspiring first trailer for Way of the Warrior Kid. Directed by action-comedy staple McG (Charlie’s Angels, Terminator Salvation), this family-focused underdog drama is locked to premiere globally ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday on Wednesday, November 25, 2026, streaming exclusively on Apple TV.

Based on the wildly popular, bestselling children’s book series by former Navy SEAL Jocko Willink (who also serves as a producer and appears in the film), the story captures a powerful message about discipline, character, and inner strength.

The movie follows Marc (Jude Hill), an ordinary middle schooler who is finding his school year to be an absolute living nightmare. He is relentlessly picked on by local bullies and feels like he’s falling hopelessly behind in everything—from his classroom academics to P.E. fitness, and even just trying to make basic friends.

Marc’s life takes a radical turn when his injured Uncle Jake (Chris Pratt), a highly decorated U.S. Navy SEAL, comes to move in for the summer to recuperate alongside Marc and his mom, Sarah (Linda Cardellini).

Realizing his nephew is struggling with self-doubt, Uncle Jake decides to implement an ambitious summer program rooted in elite military practices called “Operation Warrior Kid.” However, instead of teaching the young boy how to start fistfights, Jake focuses on showing Marc the true meaning of discipline, healthy lifestyle habits, and mental courage—all while quietly facing down his own personal demons along the way.

The uplifting coming-of-age journey features a stellar group of Hollywood favorites, including:

Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy) as the tough but caring Uncle Jake
Jude Hill (the breakout star of Belfast) as the young Marc
Linda Cardellini (Dead to Me) as Marc’s dedicated mother, Sarah
Levi McConaughey (the son of Matthew McConaughey making his big screen debut), Ava Torres, Parker Young, and Jocko Willink rounding out the cast!
