‘Don’t Move’ (2026) Brings Giant Prehistoric Spiders & A Star-Studded Cast to Theaters

The Grassroots Story: From Pages to Pixels

Long before it became a terrifying creature feature on the big screen, Don’t Move started as a passion project born out of the creative, dark mind of James “Murr” Murray—best known as one of the chaotic stars of TV’s Impractical Jokers.

Wanting to prove his storytelling chops extended far beyond hidden-camera pranks, Murr penned a intense, fast-paced horror novel about a wilderness hike turned into a spider-infested nightmare.

The book quickly gained a massive, word-of-mouth cult following among horror readers. Fans fell in love with the simple, terrifying concept: a monster that can only find you if you make a sound or take a step.

Thanks to passionate grassroots fan support, independent film studios took notice. Instead of letting Hollywood dilute the vision, Murr stepped up to write and produce the adaptation directly, keeping the indie, tension-fueled spirit of the book perfectly intact.

A Wacky, High-Energy Ensemble Cast

What makes Don’t Move one of the most intriguing theater drops of September 2026 is its beautifully unpredictable cast. Leading the nightmare is genre favorite Lyndsy Fonseca (Nikita, Kick-Ass), who plays Megan, a survivor trying to keep a panicked group alive.

Joining her is Tom Cavanagh (The Flash) as a church pastor whose retreat goes horribly wrong, and comedic powerhouse Rob Riggle, who brings his signature loud energy to the survival group.

Adding major pop-culture fuel to the fire, the movie features independent rap superstar Russ (Russell Vitale) in a prominent acting role, alongside hilarious guest appearances by hip-hop icon T-Pain and Impractical Jokers co-star Brian “Q” Quinn.

The Threat: The Rule of the Web

Set in the deep, untamed Ozark wilderness, the film centers on a group that wanders off the beaten path and into an ancient, isolated ecosystem. They find themselves stuck in a valley blanketed by massive, steel-strong spider webs.

The resident predator is a giant, ancient arachnid that has evolved to hunt entirely through touch and vibration. The film plays like an intense game of musical chairs where the music never stops—the second a character panics and moves, the monster strikes.
