The Focker family tree is growing, and so is Greg Focker’s anxiety

Universal Pictures has dropped the first look at Focker In-Law, the highly anticipated fourth installment in the Meet the Parents franchise. Arriving in theaters on November 25, 2026, the comedy brings back the iconic duo of Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro while throwing a massive pop superstar into the family dynamic.

This time around, Greg Focker (Stiller) finds himself on the other side of the parenting coin. He has officially evolved into an overbearing helicopter dad to his adult children. The main chaotic spark centers on his son Henry, played by Skyler Gisondo.

When Henry brings home his strong-willed girlfriend, Olivia Jones—played by global pop icon Ariana Grande—to celebrate Jack Byrnes’ (De Niro) 80th birthday, the stage is set for absolute disaster.

While the rest of the clan, including a surprisingly soft-hearted Jack, immediately embraces Olivia, Greg is convinced she is hiding a massive secret. The minute Henry mentions his plan to propose, Greg goes into full-blown interrogation mode.

What follows is a brutal, escalating psychological war between Greg and his potential future daughter-in-law, stretching across family dinners, tense kitchen face-offs, and awkward bike path encounters.

The ensemble features a stellar mix of franchise veterans and fresh faces. Teri Polo returns as Pam, Blythe Danner is back as Dina, and Owen Wilson reprises his role as the ever-zen Kevin Rawley.

Beanie Feldstein joins the family as Samantha Focker, alongside Eduardo Franco. The film is directed by comedy veteran John Hamburg (Along Came Polly, I Love You, Man), who co-wrote the script alongside Ilana Glazer and Austen Earl.

Focker In-Law comes to theaters November 25, 2026.
