A24 Drops Heartwarming First Trailer for Jordan Firstman’s Cannes Comedy-Drama ‘Club Kid’

A24 has officially unveiled the dazzling, emotional first trailer and theatrical poster for Club Kid (2026). Marking the feature writing and directorial debut of acclaimed actor-comedian Jordan Firstman, the indie darling is heading to theaters with massive momentum after sparking a ferocious $17 million studio bidding war at the Cannes Film Festival.

Firstman triples down on his duties by also starring as Peter Green, a carousing, narcissistic New York City underground party promoter whose entire hedonistic lifestyle is built around late nights, flashing lights, and wild nightlife energy.

When the Party’s Over

The emotional core of the film kicks into gear when Peter’s world is completely thrown into chaos. Following the sudden death of a half-remembered hookup, Peter learns he is the biological father to a sharp, precocious 10-year-old boy named Arlo (played by standout newcomer Reggie Absolom).

Suddenly saddled with an extra mouth to feed and the terrifying reality of full-time custody, Peter is forced to integrate a kid into his messy, non-traditional community.

What distinguishes Club Kid from typical, stock Hollywood sentimentality is its authentic, vibrant depiction of Peter’s tight-knit queer inner circle, who quickly open their world to invite Arlo right into the family mix.

The trailer wonderfully showcases heartwarming bonding moments, tracking Arlo as he displays his own natural, burgeoning talent for DJ mixing.

Supported by breathtaking, intimate cinematography, Firstman anchors an incredible ensemble cast. The film features powerhouse turns by Cara Delevingne as Peter’s completely exhausted nightlife business partner, Diego Calva (Babylon), and Kirby Howell-Baptiste.

Club Kid is produced by Topic Studios and Stay Gold Features. A24 will release the comedy-drama exclusively in theaters nationwide on November 6, 2026.
