Johnny Depp’s Gothic Nightmare ‘Ebenezer’ Unveils Terrifying First Images & Trailer!

Paramount Pictures is turning the holiday season into a psychological horror show. Today, the studio delivered a haunting first look at Ebenezer, a dark, gothic, and deeply unsettling reimagining of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.

Alongside the debut trailer, a fresh batch of movie stills reveals an entirely new, terrifying vision of Victorian London that moves far away from traditional festive cheer.

Directed by horror maestro Ti West (X, Pearl, MaXXXine), the film casts a transformative lens on the classic redemption story. Academy Award nominee Johnny Depp is completely unrecognizable under heavy, pale prosthetics as the bitter miser Ebenezer Scrooge. The story shifts the focus into a tense, atmospheric ghost thriller, where Scrooge must survive a genuinely nightmarish psychological reckoning brought on by the spirits of his past, present, and future.

Ebenezer also stars Ian McKellen as Jacob Marley, Rupert Grint, Sam Claflin, Daisy Ridley, and Andrea Riseborough.

Ebenezer is scheduled to be released in the United States by Paramount Pictures on November 13, 2026.
