Commuters faced a bizarre morning surprise as a giant, harpoon gun-clutching Jason Statham cruises past Tower Bridge to promote ‘Mutiny’.
Lionsgate surprised commuters with an outrageous guerrilla marketing stunt for their maritime thriller Mutiny, floating a giant 30-foot-tall inflatable of leading man Jason Statham down the River Thames.
Seated atop a branded 20-foot shipping container aboard a flat-top pontoon tow, the colossal effigy cruised right past the city’s historic landmarks and floated underneath a raised Tower Bridge.
The viral stunt quickly outran traditional billboard metrics, generating massive crowds of onlookers and a side-splitting reaction video from Statham himself, who jokingly called the giant balloon “insultingly small”. “They asked how big I wanted it… I should have been clearer.”
