John Travolta & Robert Carlyle Star in Explosive JFK Mob Thriller

Get ready for a historical thriller that is bound to spark major conversations. Ketchup Entertainment has officially dropped the first trailer for November 1963, a star-studded mob drama that takes a deep, dark dive into the conspiracy theories surrounding the assassination of President John F. Kennedy—and we have your first look right here!

Directed by Oscar nominee Roland Joffé (The Killing Fields), the film stars John Travolta as mob figure Johnny Roselli, Robert Carlyle as Jack Ruby, and Jefferson White as Lee Harvey Oswald.

But what makes this project truly fascinating is the script. It was written by Nicholas Celozzi, the actual grandnephew of notorious Chicago outfit boss Sam Giancana. Celozzi based the story on secrets passed down within his own family regarding a massive double-cross between the mafia and the White House.

With an incredible cast that also includes Mandy Patinkin and Dermot Mulroney, November 1963 looks like an intense, atmospheric period thriller that looks at one of America’s darkest days from a terrifying new angle.

“Kill a man, he dies once. Kill his son, he dies 10,000 deaths.”

Prior to the election of John F. Kennedy in 1960, his father Joe Kennedy, a former bootlegger during prohibition, asked for a favor from mob boss Sam Giancana and his Chicago outfit: to destroy ballot boxes to ensure a win for the younger Kennedy.

However, during JFK’s reign as president, the national organized crime syndicate came under fire by way of the newly appointed Attorney General Bobby Kennedy, resulting in several convictions.

The mob answered this betrayal with the ultimate revenge: the murder of the 35th President of the United States on November 22nd, 1963, and the subsequent cover up.

Our story is told by somebody who was there – Sam Giancana’s brother Pepe.
