Brandon Sklenar Goes on an Unstoppable Western Warpath in First Trailer for Paramount’s ‘The Rescue’

A relentless, high-stakes hunt is heading to the high country this winter. Paramount Pictures has officially released the Official Trailer, Movie Stills and Poster for The Rescue (2027).

Directed by filmmaker Potsy Ponciroli (Old Henry) and written by veteran Screenwriter John Fusco (Young Guns, Hidalgo), the modern-day action Western represents one of the highly anticipated first projects greenlit under the newly finalized Skydance and Paramount merger.

A Father’s Fury

The Rescue stars breakout 1923 lead Brandon Sklenar as Jamie Lee, a reclusive, former champion rodeo cowboy trying to quietly raise his family.

His world is violently upended when a calculated criminal outfit orchestrates the kidnapping of his young daughter for a multi-million dollar ransom.

Refusing to sit idly by while local authorities negotiate, Jamie Lee mounts up, grabs his rifle, and takes the law into his own hands.

The Official Trailer showcases an intense, wintery manhunt through rough terrain. Accompanied by his daughter’s incredibly loyal tracking dog who locks onto her scent, Jamie Lee launches a tactical, one-man siege against the heavily armed syndicates that stand in his way.

The Rescue was shot on locations across Georgia and also stars Josh Duhamel, Josh Lucas, Yellowstone‘s Hassie Harrison, Tim Blake Nelson, Austin Amelio, Spencer Treat Clark, and Nick Searcy.

The Rescue comes to theaters January 29, 2027!
